Thinking Deeply …
Sin is a heart problem. Not necessarily physically, but emotionally and spiritually. If your attitude isn’t good (and Cain’s wasn’t), it can lead to anger, jealousy, and many other areas for the devil to creep into your life. God warned Cain about how anger can lead to other areas of sin and Paul warned the Ephesian believers about that same thing. Cain’s choices led to some severe consequences and life-altering direction for his life.
Learn from Cain’s example and guard your heart against anger and sin. When temptation leads to sin, quickly turn away and ask God for forgiveness.
