Parents’ Table Talk

Choose your friends wisely. First Corinthians 15:33 warn us of what can happen when we surround ourselves with those who do not encourage us to follow God. We all need people in our lives that can help us when we are tempted to make wrong choices, and we need to be that person for someone else. God it the best friend we can ever have. He will always help us make the right choice, and He loves and forgives us when we don’t.

Ask for to create a clean heart in you so others will see Him in your words and actions.

The More You Know…

Accountability should be viewed as a gift. It involves prayer, encouragement, and help with the burdens of spiritual warfare. Being accountable to other believers encourages us in the fight against temptation. We are all accountable to God; therefore, embracing the accountability of other believers is a great step to live so we will be pleased to stand before God.

There are many temptations we will face, and Satan is always trying to create more. He sees our weaknesses and knows when we are vulnerable. Temptation will come, and we must be prepared. Through the fellowship of other believers, God provides accountability to strengthen our resolve and sharpen our awareness of the enemy (Proverbs 27:17).
Accountability provides encouragement and moral support, which are often the missing ingredients in our battle against Satan. Accountability reduces isolation, fosters encouragement, and brings healing (Hebrews 10:25; James 5:16).
